Representin' Old Skool
September 05, 2003, 12:13 a.m. The Rapunzel story is finished. It still desperately needs editing. The first two pages are way too long, my prince’s character is atrociously underdeveloped (I don’t even like his name) and the love between Rapunzel and him is about as believable as that between Anakin and Senator Armadillo. But that can all be fixed. When I’ve spruced it up a little, I’ll probably put it up here, so you can all read it and rip it to shreds. Criticism is what makes a great writer : ) Tomorrow is my picnic with Eledhwen. I’ve just realised that Sixten is the only one representing for my high school friends. All the rest are friends I’ve made at uni, or friends of Eledhwen’s, which is pretty smick now that I think about it. At the end of last year I thought I’d made about two friends at uni, now I have ten or twelve. I think that’s a fairly decent figure : ) I’d be surprised if the Elf-boy turned up tomorrow. I invited him, and I want him to come, and I haven’t heard a no from him . . . but then, I reckon he’s ignoring me. I’ve done that with people I didn’t want to speak to. I guess I’m just going to have to get used to life without him. Of course, he’s welcome back into my life at any time (you can tell I hope he’s reading this, can’t you?) Arrggh! I made the mistake of telling my history lecturer the topic for my essay, now he’s got an article by a French historian he wants me to read – in French! He said he’d translate, but arrrggh! No! I don’t wanna start work now, I wanna be lazy and pull it all together at the last minute! *sigh* I guess I better get going.
