A Short History of Bernard Gui

Bernard Gui was born a milk maid on a hillside in the Alps, hidden away from the world because of a disfiguring beard. One day the Pope flew down from Avignon and said “Bernard, you shall be a star.” And so Bernard found himself, and his dairy cow, flung to a distant star far away. Upon landing, the cow began to talk, so Bernard took down his words, and the work thus produced was “I’m a Little Teapot.” What do you think? Only 2922 words to go!
