Stuff n Things
February 02, 2004, 9:35 p.m. Going to the thearrrrrrtre tomorrow night, darling, so simply had to buy a new dress. Did you know that this season’s colours appear to be black, red, white and this wishy-washy puce? Eugh! So I ended up hitting Newtown, and digging up a lovely light-pink Chinese dress. The Brat describes the collar and shoulders as “Stalin-esque”, but then I don’t call her the Brat for nothing. There was this torrential downpour in the middle of the afternoon today. I was on the bus at the time, and the city was near to flooding it seemed. Each puddle was a mini Pacific to plough through, sending up spray as if from the prow of a boat. It was so cool. I had about three hours sleep last night, so I’m rather eager to be abed soon. However, before I go, if you live in the Sydney area, and read the Sydney Morning Herald, look out for a Heckler column I wrote. I think it’s coming out tomorrow. You’ll be able to tell it’s mine by the subject matter, trust me : )
