Woe is Me
May 24, 2004, 8:33 p.m. I was up till 3am last night, finishing an essay for Religion and Film, on Metropolis by Fritz Lang and Metoroporisu by Rintaro. Both good films, you should check em out if you can. Anyway, it’s done now, and that’s all good. I don’t know how good the essay actually is though – it’s either brilliant, or atrocious. I have to get started on a 3500 word essay on the Japanese Tea Ceremony. Thank god for ten percent lee-way, is all I can say. And thank god for lecturers saying “it’s due in on Friday, but if you hand it in on Monday, you won’t be penalised.” Because the English Department knocked me back for an extension on the essay that’s due in the day before the tea ceremony one. The English one’s 3000 words as well, I think. I also have a take-home exam due in on the Monday of that week. And the Friday of the week before, a “Portfolio” due in. Eep! I hate June.
